Apply passport online:- You can apply passport online through official website of ministry of external affairs. Now the passport services are running as online process.

Here is the step by step procedure to apply for passport online:-

How to apply passport online.

• Step 1:- Go to official website of passport seva, and then click on “Apply” section.
• Step 2:- If you are having existing ID and password, then you can login with them.
• Step 3:- If you don’t have any existing login and you are a new user, you need to register and create a passport account. For this, you have to follow the steps below.
• Step 4:- Click on New user registration tab on left side bar of the passport website homepage.
  • After you will be redirected to New registration page,
    • There you need to select your nearest passport office.
    • Enter your name and surname in the next text box.
    • Enter your
    • Enter your mail ID.
    • Enter the Log ID required to you and password.
    • Then enter the CAPTHA and click on Register.
  • Step 5:- After completing the registration, you need to login with your user ID and password.
  • Step 6:– After you have logged into you have to select the following services.
    • Fresh passport/Passport reissue.
    • Diplomatic passport/official passport.
    • Police clearance certificate.
    • Identity certificate.

How to fill the application:-

You can fill the application either online or offline as per your convenient. Here is the filling offline application.

• Click on Download E-form
• A page will be displayed with following forms.
  • Fresh/Reissue.
  • Police clearance.
  • Diplomatic/official.
  • Identity certificate.
• Download any one of them as you required and fill in the e-form and upload the e-form by clicking on Upload e-form

Once you have completed the filled in form later you need to pay the fee. You can pay the fee through online itself or at your nearest passport seva Kendra.

• You can go to Application home page and click on View saved/Confirmed Applications.
• The submitted application form details will be displayed to you and then select ARN of the form you have submitted earlier.
• Next you have to click on Pay and schedule appointment
• After that, select the mode of payment option that you can pay either online or challan payment.
• After completing the fee payment, select a convenient slot from the dates available there and enter the CAPTHA and click on Pay and book the payment.
